Kagami Biraki: Opening a Sake Barrel

I visited a trade fair and attended the opening ceremony.

The event was officiating by Kagami Biraki (opening a sake barrel), instead of ribbon cutting.

Guests wore Happi (summer festival coat) and used a kiduchi (wooden hammer) to open a barrel.

Kagami Biraki will be performed to congratulate a success.

Of course, we can drink sake.

Sake will bring good luck!
