Nanakusa Gayu

I might blog about this last year; but let me blog about this.

We have a custom to eat Nanakusa Gayu (seven-herb porridge) on every 7 January to wish for good fortune and to rest stomach from New Year celebration food.

Today we can conveniently get all seven herbs in a packet.

There are

Suzushiro: Japanese white radish (White) represents innocence

Seri: Japanese parsley grows long for prosperous

Suzuna: old vocabulary for radish which means bell to call God

Hotokenoza: the herb looks like the seat for the Buddha.

Nazuna: means taking off dirt by patting

Gogyo: the shape of Buddha’s body

Harabeko: many leaves represents prosperity

19 December 2018

My favorite is red wine.

I’ve waited for tonight’s wine lesson at Enoteca Marunouchi Lounge, Bordeaux Red Wines, but I was still sick.

I’ve been taking so many cough drops so I taste different from what it supposed to be.

I had to take warm drink (I regret not to bring hot water because Chinese tea in thermo has its flavor) to stop coughing.

I wish I was healthy to enjoy these.

Pauillac (2012)

Margauz (2011)

Pessac-Leognan (2013)

Clarendelle (2014)

Pomerol (2007)

5 January 2019

It was body maintenance day for both Choco and I.

I went to gym for stretching.

I couldn’t exercise last month due to a cold, it was refreshing to move my body though it was only stretching.

Time to gear up!

I also took Choco for monthly care: grooming, nail, ear cleaning, etc.

He also had spa.

He posed for new year.

Choco, I didn’t know you can pose for camera.

You are full of surprises!

17 November 2018

I participated in the 7th anniversary of Aunty’s Buddhist Ceremony at Onjuku, Chiba.

Many of my relatives gathered on Saturday morning.

We miss Aunty; simultaneously, we enjoyed talking among us before and after the ceremony at lunch.

After the ceremony at the temple, we stopped by one of our relative’s house to talk more.

They gave me souvenirs: fresh vegetable from their house farm

These are so fresh and healthy because they don’t use any agricultural chemical at this farm!

Busy Scheduled Saturday

First I went to spa to maintenance myself.

I also sent Choco to grooming so Choco also maintenance himself.

We both beautify ourselves.

I can continue beautify myself by getting quality sleep.

I finally receive my bed: Serra New York 552 from Dream Bed.

Japanese manufacturer is licensed to produce Serra Brand bed in Hiroshima, Japan.

It took 50 days to receive it.

How do I like it? Very Much!

Health and Beauty

I went to Megalos Hibiya Studio to participate in Volt Drum (Exercise in Dark using Drum Sticks).

We use two drum sticks that light in dark when we hit them.

It was fun but I look forward for Volt Box (boxercise In Dark) next week.

Hopefully, I don’t need to cancel it.

After the lesson, I went to Chinese Restaurant Keiraku @ Hibiya/Yurakucho for dinner with my friend.

Oops, beer tasted VERY NICE!

I came back home and greeted by Choco.

I dressed him in Halloween Costume.

He looks nice but he will try to take it off. ahhhhh

For beauty…I’ve been using Gerovital which I bought them when I visited Romania last May.

I’m about to run out so I ordered via Amazon.

Apparently, these arrived from Romania.

I received some samples, too.

Of course, the price is more expensive than what these are sold in Romania.

However, I have sensitive skin and so far these never gave me any troubles.

Spoiling Day

The park that we go for a walk regularly organizes events.

This time, L’CCITANE…?

People are busily preparing for a day to start.

After the morning walk, I went to treat myself at Spa.

I need to regularly maintenance myself; especially before the big event which will start tomorrow.

After the spa, I prayed at Asahi Shrine that is local area guardian.

The Shrine brings me peace in my mind.

I had a volumy ramen lunch at Tenka Ippin Roppongi Store.

I took a cha siu (toasted pork), tamago (egg) Kotteri (thick soup) ramen.

I enjoyed every bite!

After taking a lunch, I became sleepy so I took a nap. hahaha

I was asked for dinner to the Teppanyaki Restaurant that I can bring Choco with me: Teppanyaki Yasaiya Roppongi.

The restaurant is prepared for welcoming Choco and even gave Choco a complementary jelly.

He seems to like it very much because he couldn’t control himself; he went straight to the jelly.

The restaurant can prepare dinner for Choco as well, but this time I already brought his dinner (dog food) with me.

Perhaps, next time.

Food for us/human is also nice.

I’m happy to know that there is a restaurant that we can dine inside because it’s getting cold in Tokyo.

Refreshing Saturday

To my surprise, I woke up feeling VERY fresh.

My body was over tired from event last week and I participated B-Monster last night.

BUT I woke up VERY fresh.

I think B-Monster contribute to detox mentally and physically greatly.

I highly recommend B-Monster.

As long as loud EDM music is played, I can keep on jumping. hahaha

I took precautious measure so I went to spa for a maintenance today.

On the other hand, Choco had a play mate for three days because Mom stayed with us two nights.

He was busy playing not having enough sleep so he is busy catching up sleep.

Typhoon 24 is approaching Japan and it might hit Japan from south to north tomorrow.

We are warmed to stay in tomorrow.

Both of us (Choco and I) plan to relax at home tomorrow.
