Video Game Orchestra (VGO)

I met Mr. Shota Nakama during Tokyo Game Show 2017.

He is a guitarist, composer and founder of Video Game Orchestra.

He arranges video game music to orchestra music.

Unfortunately, I’m not a gamer so I don’t know the scenes that these music played in the game.

Thought, I am not a gamer, I have my favorites: Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross Time’s Scar (Boston Live 2014).

It’s simply beautiful as music.

I’ve been listening to his music and somehow his music cheers me up and even provides me quality sleep.

I feel calm, yet warm, passion and desire.

You can listen VGO at

https://www.youtube.com/user/VGOOnline

Highly recommended!

Power of Music

I realize how powerful music can be.

It can pump me and it can calm me.

Music plays an important role these days.

I’m glad that I became an Amazon Premium  Member so that I can have an unlimited access to music and I can even select a play list based on my needs.

Enjoy Girl’s Night @ the Palace Hotel Tokyo

I am invited for the Palace Hotel’s reception to have a hotel tour and to enjoy their drinks and  food.

The Hotel is located nearby the Imperial Place and Marunouchi Financial District, Tokyo; the view from the hotel is nice and open.

The hotel is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World with nice facilities.

Banquet Rooms

Evian Spa

And Rooms

Fortunately, my boss couldn’t make it to this event because he was ordered to attend a meeting that he couldn’t escape from.

I had nice drinks, food and chat with my friend from a sister organization.

Her boss cannot make it, neither because he caugh a flue: influenza.

We simply enjoyed the event without our superiors presence!

Furthermore, the event is free!

And so sweet of them, I received a door gift: raisin and cranberry witches.

Trip to Nara & Kyoto (Day 3)

I started my day with a breakfast @ Minokichi, Hotel New Hankyu Kyoto, Kyoto.

First, I stopped by at Kami Kamo Jinja (Kami Kamo Shrine).

First Torii (Shrine Gate)

Noh Butai (Noh Dance Stage)

Second Torii (Second Shrine Gate)

Main Area

There are two mountains of sands to purify the place.

We can find two mountains of salts at the entrance of restaurants and stores; this place is the origin for the ritual.

Unfortunately, exterior of the main hall is under renovation.

I prayed at the Main Building of Shrine and the shrine is beautiful; this shrine is registered as the World Heritage in 1994.

Then, I took Eizan Densha (Eiden: Eizan Railway) from Demachiyanagi Station to Kifuneguchi Station.

Some seats are facing windows to admire scenery.

Kifune is famous for Kifune Jinja (Kifune Shrine) and Kawadoko Lunch.

I look forward for this Kawadoko Lunch; literally it means river floor.

It’s hot during the Summer; therefore, people built a lunch place on the river to cool down.

I took an image photo.

I had this Kawadoko Lunch at Kifune-So, Kifune, Kyoto.

It’s naturally cooling!

Water is so close!

I ate my lunch in splash of water and I enjoyed it!

I love it!!!

After enjoying nice local Kyoto Cuisine, I visited Kifune Jinja.

We took a train back to Takaragaike Station.

Next is my last stop in Kyoto: Kyotsukemono Nishiri (Kyoto Pickles Shop Nishiri).

Free pickles sampling with white wine!

I arrived Kyoto Station.

While waiting for my Shinkansen, I was busy enjoying KYOTO.

First, I stopped by Gion Tsujiri (green tea speciality shop) to enjoy Green Tea and Matcha Soft Cream.

I still had more than a half hour; I also stopped by Kyoto’s local coffee shop: Inoda’s Coffee.

I had a traditional Cream Soda (melon soda with a scoop of vanilla ice cream).

Time’s up… Sayonara Kyoto.

My Shinkansen arrived, but Oops, I missed a nose of Shinkansen.

I’m going to miss this scenery.

I listened to special Disney songs by keying access code which is labeled on Sokenbicha (non-caffeine blended tea) bottles while eating dinner on Shinkansen.

I enjoyed this trip to Nara and Kyoto; I would love to visit these places again.

Roppongi, Tokyo

I had breakfast at my regular breakfast place: Eggcellent, Roppongi Hills, Tokyo.

I had an egg benedict plate.

After breakfast, I went to shopping at Roppongi Midtown, Tokyo.

I enjoyed window shopping and found hats that I was looking for!

After visiting boutiques, I stopped by for a drink at the lounge of the Ritz Carlton, Roppongi, Tokyo.

The lobby and the lounge of the Ritz are on 45th Floor; therefore, the scenery is nice overlooking Tokyo such as Akasaka (the State Guest House) and Shinjuku.

The live music, piano and violin, is playing and the scenery is nice; I felt like drinking bubble. fufufu

Attended the Seminar @ Tokyo Dome Hotel, Korakuen, Tokyo

This hotel is named Tokyo Dome Hotel because it stands in front of Tokyo Dome which is the home for Tokyo Giants Baseball team.

I’ve been here to watch baseball games and come for music concerts such as Mariah Carey, Rolling Stones, etc.

(Now I enjoy arts in overseas because there is a designated theatre for a play or music to appreciate it in the best condition, instead of temporary stage.)

There is a theme park and spa, La Qua as well.

There are also roller skate rink (it will turn into an ice skate rink during the Winter) and bowling alley.

In a way, it’s a dream land…?

Enhancing My Time @ Gym and Room

It is a Japanese national holiday today: Ocean Day.

It’s been hot in Japan and there was no national holiday in July.

Japanese government was smart to create a national holiday in July for a break.

However, my office opened today.

It’s been a quiet day so I went out for lunch.

I had a Freahness Burger’s Cheese Burger set.

It’s a nice Japanese burger shop and delicious, but I learned that calory is high…

delicious food always with calories…… ahhhhhh

Boss left the office and I was alone in the office this afternoon.

I quickly finished writing reports and sending emails to make time to further study about privileges of being Amazon Prime members.

Annual fee of JPY 3,900 covers fast delivery fee, video and music.

I was considering to enhance my time at gym and room with these video and music.

I had time to Pochi.

Classic Concert @ Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall, Kawasaki, Kanagawa

I haven’t visited Kawasaki for quite some time.

Kawasaki looks different from how I knew before.

At the entrance of the hall, a street organ received us with nice music.

On behalf of Mom, I enjoyed powerful music conducted by Mr. Jonathan Nott with Dad.

Today’s music are

T. Hosokawa: “Klage” for mezzo soprano and orchestra based on Text by Georg Trakl

And

G. Mahler: Symphony No. 2 in C minor, “Auferstehung”

Motivators

I bought these in Vegas: iPhone 6S Gritterly Case (I love gritterly things), iPhone Cover Power Bank, Wireless Headset and Speaker.

I don’t know I did buy them with a good price, but I’m happy with design and quality.

Now I’m motivating to go to gym by listening to upbeat music with a new headset.

It’s tough to keep the motivation…ahhhhhh

Spanish Lunch at Ginza Espero and Olympic Concert 2017

I had Spanish lunch at Ginza Espero with my colleague.

I highly recommend the lunch menu because its cost performance is high.

The cost for lunch is JPY 1,100 and we can choose appetizer, main dish, bread or rice and drink from a list.

We shared appetizers so that we can enjoy salad and paella.

We have only one hour break for lunch, but it’s always fun to have a girls’ talk!

Tonight I was invited for Olympic Concert 2017 at Tokyo International Forum.

I enjoyed collaboration of Olympics video and music: orchestra music and musical singers singing.

To be honest with you, I didn’t care about Tokyo Olympic 2020.

Now I’m inspired by Olympians (Olympics athletes) and look forward hosting Tokyo Olympics 2020.
