As I mentioned before, I had vouchers from ANA which I can use them to dine and purchase at ANA Intercontinental Tokyo.
I cannot get change from the voucher; therefore, I paid the balance the other day and returned to the hotel to spend the balance of voucher: JPY 5,000 (USD 50).
I went to a Sophisticated French Pastry Shop: Pierre Gagnaire Pains et Gateaux.
First, I asked for a box of Chocolates and four flavours of Macarons.
When I was about to make a payment at the cashier, I was informed that a shop is offering 20 percent discount till 31 July 2020.
I saved JPY 1,257 (USD 12.5) which allowed me to buy am additional short cake (strawberry cream cake).
It’s fun to open boxes….although I bought them myself and knowing what are inside…
I was wondering what to eat lightly to enjoy these. Hummmm
Well, I had the best dinner: eggs, flour, milk (cream), grapes and some guilty sugar. (Some..!?)
It’s hot outside so he asked me to order delivery.
Well, I want to eat my food when it’s freshly made so I’m not a delivery person.
I rather cook during the Stay Home Period though I crossed many delivery persons then and even now.
I needed to start with downloading the app.
McDonald engages two delivery services: Mc Delivery and Uber Eats.
Since it’s Mc, first, I registered on McDelivery.
When I tried to request for a delivery, I found that our office area is not covered by McDelivery which is understandable because many offices are located in our area, Ginza.
Then I continued registering on Uber Eats.
I received few errors on payment because I wanted to pay by cash but the system only allows payment by credit card which is also understandable because the Uber Eats delivery person might have faced issues on change (small coins).
Finally, I managed to order our food by Uber Eats.
After installing apps and understanding the system, I’m ready to order delivery via apps.
I understand the convenience of service; however, I still want to dine at restaurants or shops, or cooking at home after experiencing it.
Japan imposed retailers to charge plastic shopping bags to save environment by reducing producing microplastics and CO2 emission on 1 July 2020.
The retails charge a plastic bag (and some for paper bags) from range of JPY 2 – JPY 20 (ISD 0.02 – USD 0.19).
Therefore, this became a memorable last free plastic shopping bag at Precce, Tokyo Midtown Roppongi.
However, some retailers such as Meidi-Ya continues to provide free shopping bags that is categorized as biomass shopping bags.
There are three types of biomass shopping bags and they are:
First, the bag is made by more than 25 percent of biodegradable material. The Meidai-Ya provides this type.

Second, the thickness is more than 0.05 mm that allows to reuse it and it requires to state state that it is recommended to reuse the bag on the bag itself.
Tokyo Metropolitan Government shifted businesses to Step 2 on Monday, 1 June 2020.
Step 2 allows more businesses to reopen and to operate longer hours.
Gym finally opened on Monday, 1 June 2020; I went on Tuesday, 2 June 2020 after two months.
Gym is also taking counter measures to COVID.
There is a plastic sheet at the reception counter to protect staffs from spread of COVID.
Trainers and trainees need to wear a mask while exercise.
Wipe an equipment with sanitizer after every use.
Placed equipment with enough gap.
Stops providing stone bath service for now.
It’s nice to get a professional guide for exercise.
Then as usual, I visited 100 Yen Shop Can Do for shopping.
I usually buy consumable goods there and my stock became low after two months.
I happily bought 21 products there including masks and a wet tissue.
I was hoping to relax on businesses more by shifting to Step 3.
However, I received a flash news earlier on Tuesday, 2 June 2020 that Tokyo recorded 34 new cases on the day which indicates a peek.
Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced Tokyo Alert which means the State of Emergency for Tokyo; but didn’t request for closing businesses.
The economy needs to move now; therefore, it remained Step 2 for Business.
However, with Tokyo Alert, people need to be more careful and corporate to voluntarily Stay Home to manage COVID if we want businesses to stay operating.
The State of Emergency, Tokyo Alert, Stay Home, Social Distancing, Step 1, 2 & 3 for Business, the Second Wave, Masks, Sanitizer, etc., these vocabularies remind me we are living in New Normal Society.
I introduced Plosiom Shampoo (middle) and Conditioner (left) before.
I could buy this series only at selected beauty salons.
Today, MTG, a Japanese beauty care maker, opened a retail store in Ginza on 8 November 2019 named Beauty Connection Ginza.
Now I could buy these freely at the Ginza shop.
When I visited the store, I found other products under the series.
This (right) caught my eyes; this is Cracking Serum for scalp care.
Well, this shampoo is shampoo; simultaneously, this shampoo is carbonated form, therefore, the form massage the scalp while washing my hair as I introduced before.
This scalp cracking serum is used after drying my hair.
Shake and hold the bottle vertically, then spray and hold the serum with palm.
I can feel cool crack stimulating my scalp.
FEEL FUNNY AND GOOD!
Yes, I will add this scalp cracking serum in my beauty care collection!
I could continue to stay home on 15 April; however, it’s a nice sunny day and it’s Choco’s birthday.
Originally, I plan to get him a birthday cake but I decided not to due to the current situation.
I plan to take him out for his birthday walk after being lockdown against his will for eight days because of me.
Time to time, he appealed to go for a walk by trying to reach his walk bag which contains necessaries for his walk such as poo poo plastic bags, sanitation spray, pee pads for quick liquid absorption, and more.
I know he would love to have his walk after eight days.
I also plan to go to bank and supermarkets using a precious mask but unfortunately, I cannot take Choco to supermarkets.
Choco was funny (well, it wasn’t funny for Choco).
Since I’ve been with Choco for last eight days, he didn’t check on me when I was getting ready at the powder room.
He suddenly look anxious when he sees me getting fully ready with make up and coming out of the powder room.
I guess I caught him in surprise.
At the evening, I was simply taking my bath, but he positioned himself as if he was watching on me.
He could be serious but I thought he is cute, making me smile.
After settling my chores, I took Choco for his birthday walk.
Yes, he enjoyed it very much!!!
Though, I carry him mostly.
It was a nice day and it’s Choco’s birthday so I took extra miles.
We went to our shrine “Tenso Jinja (Tenso Shrine)” for a pray.
Yaezakura (Sakura with many petals) there is gorgeous.
We also stopped by Green Dog, a pet shop at Tokyo Midtown Roppongi, to get his treats.
From Left: Freeze Dried Vegetables (Sweet Potatoes and Pumpkins), Cheese and Chicken Cubes and Sweet Potato Puffs
And made an appointment for his Complementary Birthday Health Check Up.
I don’t know he would like this, but I want him to take it.
I’m happy to know that he enjoyed his walk very much by looking at him – satisfied?
