Lucky Me!

My friend delivered me a New Year Gift: Oreno Bakery (My Bakery) bread.

It says Yume (Dream).

I had sandwich for dinner.

Even edge is so delicious.

I cut four slices for tomorrow’s lunch.

Furthermore, she took me to a buffet lunch at Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier Sky Lounge.

The varieties of food and drinks are so good.

I took more than one hour for lunch to catch up with her.

We didn’t have time to chit chat for years though we met at official functions time to time.

It’s so sweet of her to visit me today.

And thank you for delicious bread!

23 December 2018

I saw the banner saying Kotto Ichi (antique market) at Nogi Jinjya (Nogi Shrine).

It is a small market but indeed Antique Market.

The town is decorated for Christmas but the Shrine is already decorated for New Year.

I use this photo for my New Year greeting.

There is Hood Luck sign with next year’s zodiac, Wild Boar (in Japan, it’s not pig) and many Japanese Sake Barrels.

Please check my blog for 1 January 2019.

After checking antiques, I went to the Shrine for praying.

I also prayed at Seisho Jinjya (Seisho Shrine) which is located inside of Nogi Jinjya’s premises.

This Shrine is for wisdom which I need it very much!

I drew the fortune paper at the Nogi Jinjya on the way out.

It’s Kyo (Bad Luck)! Oh No!

I take it as a lesson.

There is another shrine just next to the main gate entrance, Akasaka Oji Inari Jinjya (Akasaka Oji Inari Shrine).

I prayed to get power.

It was a lovely day and Choco also enjoyed a walk.

My favorite is red wine.

I’ve waited for tonight’s wine lesson at Enoteca Marunouchi Lounge, Bordeaux Red Wines, but I was still sick.

I’ve been taking so many cough drops so I taste different from what it supposed to be.

I had to take warm drink (I regret not to bring hot water because Chinese tea in thermo has its flavor) to stop coughing.

I wish I was healthy to enjoy these.

Pauillac (2012)

Margauz (2011)

Pessac-Leognan (2013)

Clarendelle (2014)

18 December 2018

I assisted a business meeting in Ebisu, Tokyo.

Ebisu is one of Seven Japanese Gods and he represents success.

I’m pretty sure he will bring business as a result of today’s meeting.

We celebrated with Tendon (Tenpura Rice Bowl) at Tenya, Ebisu and Taiyaki (Sweet Bean in Red Snapper shaped waffle).

Tai (red snapper) is a symbol of good luck coz it’s rhyme Medetai (happy).

There are so many good signs!!

15 December 2018

I’ve been sick since 3 December 2018 because I was busy with work and private matters such as moving, hosting home parties and Christmas preparation; therefore, I get more sick.

I couldn’t stop coughing.

Finally, I went to see doctor for medicines because over- the-counter medicines, Loxonin is not working.

I was shocked to see the amount of antibiotics.

After taking medicines, I continued to assist Mom for table setting.

It was quite a work to prepare for ten but I managed.

After finishing preparation for dinner, I went to classic concert at Suntory Hall, Akasaka, Tokyo.

My parents gave me two tickets so that I can ask my friend to accompany me to kill time outside. hahaha

We had Thai for dinner at Kaaw, Ark Hills, Akasaka, Tokyo; nothing to do with Christmas.

13 December 2018: Last Flower Lesson

Today is the day: last flower lesson at Keisen Flower School, Kamiyacho, Tokyo.

Arrangement brought me a smile even how badly tired, angry and sad I was.

Our age differ from each other; but we enjoyed arranging together.

I will miss MokuN (Thursday Night) classmates and Sensei badly.

I arranged my last flower arrangement (two sides) with another classmate.

We presented the gift and Sensei arranged in her arrangement.

I want Sensei (teacher) to open her class one day.

Sensei, PLEASE!

12 December 2018: Christmas Shopping

Mom has been asking me to take her for Christmas Shopping, particularly Christmas Tree Hunting.

She is looking for a Christmas Tree.

We are looking for 2 m or higher, a large size for typical Japanese housing.

Therefore, I took her to IKEA Tokyo Bay (Funabashi/HQ) and Costco Makuhari.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a suitable Christmas Tree, but bought necessaries such as sparkling juice, chocolates, cheese, mixed nuts, etc for coming Christmas dinner.

I love Scandinavian designed household products at IKEA.

I love American food and goods.

We bought two dresses for a little niece; she loves them.

At the evening, I went to Ginza Mitsukoshi Department to buy appreciation gift for our flower arrangement teacher together with a mate.

We made a set with Fortnum & Mason Christmas Spiced Tea and Shortbread.

Hope she would enjoy them.

3 January 2019

I bought my little niece a piano lesson book at Book Shop Book First Roppongi for her New Year Gift yesterday.

There are words for songs, music notes and piano keys inside.

The notes and keys are indicated in colors to learn easily and there is self play mode to learn rhythm as well.

I’m happy to see her playing over and over.

The room was full of music then.

Now she went back home so it’s quiet in house.

I miss her.
