Penang White Curry Instant Noodle

32

I tried this Penang White Curry Instant Noodle, a Malaysian instant noodle, with spinach topping for lunch.

The soup is nice, shrimpy  and creamy, but SPICY.

You can tell its hotness by its colour, SO RED!

This  noodle became famous in Malaysia via SNS.

The demand was greater than the supply/production; therefore it was sold at the black market in Malaysia at the time.

Yes, it’s delicious, but now I am sweating.

Luckily, I bought a set of Disney designed deodorant spray and body wipe.

I can use them now with the scent of NOA. hahaha

Foot Massage…?

29

All women love to shop, right?

Mom and I had good exercise at Takashimaya Department Store.

After our exercise, we also enjoyed good dinner, a Seasonal Tenpura Set.

30

Since I ate a lot tonight, I continued walking after dinner for more excercise.

I went to pick up laundries and buy household goods.

Oh my legs are tired…now I’m wearing this!

31

It opens toe and gives me some pressure to calves.

I FEEL GOOD, I can feel my blood flowing♪

Turkish Lunch

28

I ate doner kebab for lunch.

The restaurant remind me my trip to Turkey (Izumir, Konya, Cappadocia and Istanbul) in 2011…people are nice, scenary is beautiful, food is good…

In 1890, The Turkish frigate Ertugul sank off the coast of Wakayama, Japan. Japanese rescued Turkish sailors and took them back to Istanbul by two Japanese frigates.  Since then we have good relationships between two countries.

I learned that many things are originated from Turkey such as tulips, yogurt, etc.

I would love to visit Turkey again♪

Natural Alkali Ions Water: Onsensui 99

25

It is hot thesedays; therefore, it’s very refreshing to drink a glass of lemon water.

I opened a bottle of Natural Alkali Ions Water: Onsensui 99 (Spring Water 99) last night.

As it named, the origin of this natural spring water is Taumi Onsen (Tarumi Hot Spring), Kagoshima.

Tarumi Hot Spring is located at the foot of Sakurajima – an active volcano mountain.

Natural spring water is rich in mineral; for this water, pH level is high 9.5-9.9.

I don’t understand what it means or a kind of effects it might bring to us; however, I can tell that my today’s toilet business went very smooth.

In Japan, we can enjoy natural spring water from many origins such as Mt. Fuji, Japan Alps, etc.

I should appreciate what I can enjoy here.

Today, I went to the manipulative.

I can hit my bed now….Oyasuminasai (Good Night).

Mottainai

23

Today I cleaned this 10-year-old whiteboard.

I spent three hours and great amount of efforts to clean it because stains were tough.

I decided to clean it because I thought Mottainai (what a waste!).

My boss wanted to dispose this old whiteboard and buy a new one.

In Japan, we are required to pay for disposing oversized furnitures.

These days, we use a tablet, monitor or documents during the meeting, I hardly see people using a whiteboard.

I think a whiteboard became a decoration item for the meeting room.

It’s definitely Mottainai to pay for disposal fee for a whiteboard that we can still use and purchase a new one.

After I cleaned it, my boss approved to keep it.

Yes, my hard work paid off!

I felt good as if I saved a great amount of money (it is about USD 120), this poor whiteboard and the earth by reducing a garbage. hahaha

In 2004, Japanese Mottinai Seishin (Spirit) was introduced to the world by Ms. Wangai Maathai, the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for the Environmental activism.

We can reuse and recycle to reduce wastes; that’s the spirit!

I looked at Tokyo Tower with a smile tonight.

Health and Beauty Day

21.JPG

Today I went to gym and I felt good moving my body.

Recently, I caught a terrible cold, coughing and sneezing with slight fever for three weeks.

I couldn’t do anything, but sleep…I must have spent many boring days.

Good thing was I could not properly think at the time. hahaha

Oh, it’s good to be well!!!

I feel good so I decide to try nail stickers.

Hummm, okay for the first time…..!?

A Productive Day

In the morning, I went to Loft in Yurakucho.

Loft sells unique and functional products. It is a good place for window shopping.

16

Yes, I visited there for window shopping, but I ended up buying…a folding umbrella, a super wide lens and two sheets of nail stickers.

This umbrella is very compact and light; it will protect me from both rain and strong sunshine. The rainy season is approaching. We usually take public transportations, so we check a weather forecast before we go out. If necessary, we will bring a folding umbrella. That’s why it’s good to be small and light.

In addition, I bought a super wide lens for iphone for selfee, and two sheets of nail stickers. These are absolute necessities!

17

Then, I had a lunch. I grilled wagyu Chateaubriand and enjoyed with a glass of Maltese Cactus Liquor as aperitif. Kanpai (cheers)!

18

After lunch, I went to a beauty salon.

I was greeted by a cute pug, Roku-chan! She is surely a mascot for a beauty salon, isn’t she?

19

I thought my day would end after this….but there was a miracle!!!

I was at the right place at the right time.

I met my friends from Singapore on the street.

We tried to meet, but we couldn’t coordinate our schedules; BUT WE WERE FATED TO MEET.

We caught up at a Roppongi’s famous cafe, Almond.

I have a nice memory of Almond.

We spell it Almond, but we called this cafe AMANDO. I don’t know why.

I asked an American friend to meet me at AMANDO, but he couldn’t reach to the place.

I wondered because Almond is located at the main junction; it is hard to miss.

Then he told me, “this is not AMANDO, this is ALMOND”.

Then, I realized he was right.

Since then I always warn about this to my friends who are foreigners. hahaha

This cafe is famous for a ring cream puff.

Girls’ Talk…?

Mom returned from her trip to Italy.

She showed me many photos while we enjoyed eating Japanese traditional summer sweets: Kuzumochi (kuzu/arrowroot starch cake with red bean paste) and Mizuyokan (soft red bean jelly).

They tasted nice because it was warm and she herself was hot, so excited. hahaha

14

She bought many souvenirs for me…wow…a bottle of perfume “Carthusia from Capri”, Lemonchello, Filetti Limone (lemon peel), toffee and a Capri logo bag.

Thanks Mom, love you xoxo

Tsukiji de Kaisendon

(Seafood Bowl at Tsukiji)

Tsukiji Fish Market wakes up early in the morning.

If you go early, you can watch tuna auction.

I don’t understand what they are shouting, but it’s worth waking up for.

If you cannot wake early, don’t worry, there are quite a number of small shops located outside of the Fish Market (Jogai) to enjoy eating and shopping.

Look how small and simple

their restaurants are!

But don’t worry, the seafood bowl is delicious!

Tuna, Shrimp, squid, yellowtail, salmon roe, sea urchin and egg (cooked).
