Typhoon 19

Typhoon 19 hit Tokyo area on 12 October 2019 at 9 pm.

This typhoon damaged a wide area by causing floods, black outs, etc.

Public transportation operators such as train (JR), metro, flights, etc announced to suspend its operation and store also announced its closure on 12 October 2019 in advance.

This is a new exercise in Japan to avoid creating unnecessary weather refugees.

There are many people affected by this large scaled typhoon.

I hope they can get their normal life back soon.

  1. Glad to hear you’re okay. My wife’s mother lives in Osaka and she’s doing fine. No major issues there. Some of the footage we watched was painful.

    1. To my surprise, it rained heavily in Osaka area as well. I also learned it through my friend because the damage in Tokyo and northern part was greater, the news focuses on those area. There are many people affected and damaged by Typhoon 19 and more Typhoons to come. We need to seriously start preparing ourselves for this new trend on natural disasters which I believe we, humans, created. I’m glad that your relatives are fine. People in Osaka has been suffering from a earthquake and typhoons lately…. they are sting on kept on recovering from these damages, but hopefully they can have peace in their mind soon. Amen
