I worked – actually solved few problems
went to gym – increased weight for some exercise
and
Choco tells me to go to sleep – he cries when he wants to go up to the bed.

It’s omisoka for Japanese and we supposed to be at home to prepare welcoming New Year.
However, my boss (foreigner) didn’t approve my leave (Japanese) because he took holiday since 21 December 2018.
My boss approved all other Japanese staffs to take leaves so I was alone in the office.
I could be the only person in the building as well.
Luckily, boss called to inform me I’m allowed to close the office at 3 pm.
The town was quiet and deserted.

I rushed back home because I was expecting my niece for New Year holiday.
She changed in a dress that we bought for her.
She likes blue princess look dress which Mom chose for her than black and red lady look dress which I picked for her.

We all (including Choco) stayed up late till midnight to welcome New Year together.
We greeted
Akemashite Omedetogozaimasu
(Happy New Year!)
Now I manage to update what I left out in December 2018 because I was sick.
Now I’m back on track and hope you would continue enjoying my blog.
My relatives who owns rice fields always prepare mochi (pounded sticky rice) for new year.
I enjoy their mochi very much because rice are so fresh and chemical free.
It tastes much much much better than commercial ones.
Today, I cannot eat mochi and brown rice that are sold at supermarkets.
I need to get my supply from my relative.
This time, I took Choco with me.
It’s his first time to ride for long hours: 2 hours straight.
I’m glad that he slept in the car for both ways.

It was a nice sunny day.
I drove through Kujukuri where it plans to be a surfing tournament place for Tokyo Olympics 2020.
We can see the construction going on and there is a nice beach and waves for surfing.

I brought my apron but there were enough people to work on; I left it with experts.

I just enjoyed eating them.
What a good job that I had!

My other cousins were busy grilling yakitori (skewered chicken).

I took my portion of mochi and uncle’s.
I delivered mochi to the uncle who couldn’t make it today.
He was so surprised and happy when I showed up with fresh mochi.
He treated me Sukiyaki (beef pot).
He was so happy that he couldn’t stop talking.
His smiling face made me happy as well.

It was a nice day because I met my loving relatives and Choco behaved well.
Renting 2sets of feather futon for my brother’s family.
I was looking forward to seeing my niece.

28 December, it is the last day of work for 2018 for many companies so that we can get ready to welcome New Year.
Simultaneously, it was the last day of 2018 for me to go to hospital to get medicines to get better.
I was still suffering with terrible coughs and weak.
There aren’t many people at the hospital waiting room because many people must have gone back to their home towns.
I asked for stronger medicines so that I can recover to welcome New Year in good health.

I celebrated belated Christmas at Yasaiya Roppongi.

Choco also had his Christmas dinner: Roast Beef!
He enjoyed it very much!!!

He asked for more so I gave him leaves.
I guess he is not fan of salad; he passed.

I still have Tacos topping left overs; therefore, I made Tacos Rice for brunch.
I heated up brown rice and all Tacos toppings on the plate.
I also enjoy Tacos with Rice when I’m out of hard shells.

Town was fully decorated for Christmas.
It’s next day of Christmas at 8:30 am at GInza and town is already ready for New Year.

I attended the Year End gathering on Boxing Day at Restaurant Kern, Toranomon, Tokyo.
Good food, drink and friends – cannot go wrong.

I invited my friend for today’s lunch yesterday.
When I don’t have time to cook properly, I usually cook Tacos because it’s easy to prepare, just cut!!!
We chatted for 7 hours. hahaha

I’ve been sick and I’ve been sleeping.
I’ve done what I should do in Christmas such as watching Christmas illuminations (I’ve watched Tokyo Midtown Roppongi and Marunouchi), are a whole chicken which I bought from COSTCO the other day and decorated the house for Christmas; but I totally forgot to plan my Christmas on Christmas Day.

The blessing were I received Christmas gifts from the States and Choco is here to keep me a company.

I dressed Choco up to Santa.

Choco Santa with Reindeer

But he doesn’t want to wear Santa clothing.
He won’t move with Santa outfit.

Well, there are many people outside to see Christmas illuminations at Tokyo Midtown Roppongi.
The management of Tokyo Midtown Roppongi even placed fences to manage the crowd.

To cut through the line, I need to get a special pass for it.

In 2018, I had only gym session for Christmas event on 25 December 2018 at 6 pm.
I dressed up and put make up as if I’m going out for dinner because my gym session was at dinner time.
Next Christmas, I will plan better by not getting sick.
