Trip to Sipadan (Day 6)

It’s time to go back.

Sayonara & Arigatoooooooo!!!

Since it’s a last day of Japanese Golden Week holiday, a plane back to Japan is full.

I had to divert to Singapore: Tawau – Kauala Lumpur – Singapore – Haneda/Tokyo.

On the way to Singapore, I already started feeling sentimental by looking at movies and photos.

I arrived Singapore happily and saw a disturbing word on a signboard – Delayed.

Soon I found that my flight delayed for a half day – I missed going back to office on Monday. Ahhhhh
We get a free accommodation in Singapore, but this is unexpected.

It is a nice hotel, but didn’t have much time to enjoy my stay.

We arrived midnight and left hotel at 5:15 am to catch 7:45 am flight.
Luckily, I’ve been waking up at Kapalai/Sipadan early.

Hotel quickly prepared supper for us.

At the Changi Airport, I found a wine tasting server – interesting!

As usual, I enjoyed food and movies on the crowded plane.

Collateral Beauty

I read a manga on the screen: Tokyo Tarareba Musume (Tokyo What If Girls).

My first time to read a manga on the airline screen!

Finally, I reached Haneda/Tokyo.

What a trip!

This trip become a memorable one for sure!

Would I do it again?

Absolutely!

Saving Paper

I stopped buying magazines.

But it doesn’t mean I lost interest in beauty, health and fashion.

I try to read them at the gym while I exercise.

In this case, I can save money, paper and space in my room, but able to obtain information♪

And finally my gym installed WiFi!

Gym is located in B1 (basement); therefore, 4G is out of reach.

I’m happy with a news.

I quickly registered password.

If we could use WiFi there, we can have more fun!

Book Review: The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

I finished reading this book today.

The story started slow, all about a lady with issues such as alcohol and relationships; it made me bored.

However, I continued reading it because its review is good and if I’m not mistaken, a movie will be made based on this story.

A story towards the end is very exciting: I love suspense, but I couldn’t guess a murderer.

I couldn’t stop reading it.

I hid my iPad to read on Kindle after my lunch hour (only for 30 mins) to finish a book. (I work over time, but I don’t get paid for over time so I do have an excuse for this).

Reading a book is a good exercise to improve my English.

I can kill two birds by one stone: I can learn English while having fun reading it.

Mindfulness

Nowadays I can easily find the word, mindfulness, on Japanese women’s magazines.

There are many magazines at my beauty salon and I read about it briefly the other day.

Today, I was standing in a train on the way to my dermatologist.

I needed to hold a rail because a train was packed.

Since I was holding a rail, I cannot play with my mobile.

I looked outside, but I couldn’t see anything because windows were all fogged up due to a cold rain.

I remembered MINDFULNESS.

I didn’t close my eyes, but my surrounding created a perfect situation to listen to my feeling.

I have frustration.

While waiting for my turn at the dermatologist, I browsed on internet to learn more about MINDFULNESS.
Now it’s time to listen to my feelings to love myself more.

Perhaps, I can practice while I’m taking a bath because I sit in a bathtub for 10 – 15 mins in nice aroma and I’m relaxed.

Bedtime Reading

Looking at absolutely beautiful ocean, handsome fish and cute creatures.

Bedtime story supposed to put me sleep, but I’m getting excited…!?

Palau, Bohol (the Philippines), Isla Socorro (Mexico), South Africa, Ogasawara (Japan), Okinawa (Japan), etc.

How soon can I go?

Let’s study and plan!

My favorite monthly beauty magazine: Biteki

Today, we can obtain information, any information, on internet.

We don’t need to go to a library or a book store to collect information.

It’s all available on your PC or even in your hand, a smartphone.

With no exception, the market size of printed matters (both books and magazines) is shrinking in Japan.

In Japan, there is less demand for foreign books (English written books); therefore, the area for foreign books keeps on shrinking.

Thanks to Amazon/Kindle because now it saves me to look for a book.

(If you have a recommendation for a book, please drop me a line.)

I stopped buying books because I don’t need to.

BUT, I still regurlly buy this monthly beauty magazine: Biteki (Beauty Style).

6

Yes, I do like their articles, AND I LIKE THEIR FREE SAMPLES!

For July issue, this magazine offers Avines Oi Oil samples (body wash, shampoo, conditioner and oil for hair) and a cool feeling camisole!!!

Is’nt it awsome? Camisole!!!

Companies are willing to provide free samples to reach targeted consumers and magazines welcome free samples to make a magazine more attractive for readers to stimulate its sales.

It’s a win-win solution.

I wonder myself, am I buying this magazine for articles or samples?

I plan to try the camisole tomorrow♪  fufufu
