Golden Week Holiday in Okinawa (Day 1)

It’s Japanese National Holiday (Constitution Day) today, but my office was opened.

Usually, morning of Ginza Station is crowded with people, but today it was quiet.

It was a quiet day at the office as well.

The office building was closed and we were the only office opened on Golden Week Holiday season, but it was fine with me.

I enjoyed long lunch with my friend from Malaysia at Tempura Restaurant, Ginza Tenkuni.

We chatted for a while and she departed for Shibuya to join other group of friends.

At 5 pm, it’s my turn to enjoy Golden Week Holiday in Okinawa. Yeah

I already polished my nail for beach.

I quickly packed up and departed for Haneda Airport.

it’s dinner time, but food won’t be served on domestic flight.

I bought my favorite Maisen Katsu Sand (Maisen Pork Sandwich).

The packaging is cute airport version – with many airplanes!

I ate it with Aojiru (vegetable juice) at ANA’s Lounge.

After satisfying my stomach, proceeded to the gate.

It’s night flight so I could not take a sharp photo due to the reflection of the glass.

I see an airplane in strange colour.. in yellow…?

OMG, YODA greeted me at the entrance!!!

My seat is decorated in Star Wars as well!!!

I found my airplane model on inflight shopping magazine.

The cup.

Yoda is seared at one of seats like us.

I was protected by the FORCE so safely

arrived at Naha Airport.

Mensore (Welcome in Okinawa ben (dialect))

I finally reached Naha West Inn.

It’s a nice cozy room.

Oyasuminasai (Good Night)

You Mee

Sorry for not updating my blog for few days.

I am simply busy with work and down with a cold.

I feel much better now.

Today, I received a gift box from Malaysia.

Tadahhhhh

A box of newly developed Malaysian style instant noodles!

There are Penang Prawn Noodles, Green Curry Noodles (Dry), Sanbal Chili Fried Noodles (I think this is Mee Goreng) and Plain Noodles.

I tried Penang Prawn Noodles tonight. Very shrimpy, Yammy!

Birthday Eve

It’s my birthday eve.

I had been handling a project which is held in March around my birthday; therefore, I couldn’t enjoy or celebrate my birthday for 15 years.

This year, the project is handled by other colleague so my mind is in peace.

I also had wonderful surprises today.

My friend sent me early birthday wishes with hearty words which made me smile.

And after helping my boss’s wife for some translation, she returned to office with a surprise.

It’s so sweet of her and thanked Boss for a nice (I mean NICE) birthday gift.

I was thinking of getting a lipstick for coming Spring and this is the shade of colour that I was thinking of!

Thank you Mr. And Mrs. Boss.

And tonight, went to dinner with my choice of food and restaurant: my favorite French Restaurant Aux Six Arbres, Roppongi.

It’s a nice Birthday Eve ever!

Be Lated Valentine Chocolates

During office hour I received a call from delivery man.

According to him, he managed to enter my apartment building so he asked my permission to leave boxes in front of my door.

I was expecting two kinds/dozens of mineral water for hot drink and purely drinking that I ordered through Amazon.

I told him it’s okay to leave there because these are water.

Then he continues, “what about chocolates?”

I was silent because I didn’t order any chocolates.

He quickly continues, “I will leave it in a mail box so please check it later.”

I thanked him and wondered.

Not many people knows my home address.

Furthermore, in Japan, women give chocolates to confess/express their feeling to men.

So it’s odd for me to receive chocolates.

I returned home and check the mail box.

Yes, there is a box of chocolate with a letter.

Chocolates are from an old couple that I had dinner with at Year-End with my mutual friends.

This is a box of Jacques Torres Chocolate New York.

A couple were saying they planned to visit their daughter who currently works in New York during the dinner.

It’s so sweet of them to bring a box of chocolates for me from New York!

These chocolates are sweet, delicate and sensitive and I love them every bites!

Thank you!

Supplement Warning

The supplement supposed to help me burning fat; however, my body was too tired and the supplement stimulated the wrong nerves: sympathetic nerves.

On the other hand, my body was too tired; therefore, my body reacted to activate parasympathetic nerves, making my body unbalanced.

I was fine despite busy schedule till yesterday, but I couldn’t take it whatsoever today.

I felt too tired and emotional.

I sympathize people around me today.

I’m thankful to my physical therapist who unwind my body and solve the mystery what’s happening to my body by explaining to me.

He is knowledgeable.

If you want to take a supplement with capsaicin, you need to be physicaly strong.

In my case, I stop taking supplements and try to watch what I eat.

Trip to the US (Day 6)

I returned to Tokyo.

I wanted to upload my adventure every day/night, but the US is huge; I was at deserted area where internet connection isn’t good.

It took me hours to connect to internet disabling to sleep…and some photos are not uploaded properly – I can view them on my iPhone, but not on my iPad…hummmm

Sorry, I decided to sleep to enjoy my events on Day 6 of My Trip to the US; I needed enough sleep and energy.

Changed to Hummer to drive sandy off-road and walk to the White Pocket.

Unfortunately, we cannot reach there with this Car which is cute and talks.

We need to walk a distance after getting off the car.

It’s hot and dry; need to drink water frequently to avoid dehydration.

Some rocks have the name.

This is called Brain Rock – hahaha.

Close relook for verification.

This area was elevated at Jurrasic period, about 200 million years ago.

The formation is unique and beautiful.

Originally sands/rocks are in red due to iron.

Rain and it’s water flows (rivers) which can become 1.5 m depth wash off iron and creats white pockets.

Imaging, cows to drink water from white pockets after rain.

We ate lunch (sandwich) at the shadow that we can find there – the place is rocky.

By the way, called Turtle Rocks because rocks look like back of turtle.

The view from our lunch place was nice, but we spotted a serious wildfire in Utah.

After lunch, we walked to admire the area and rocks.

Rolly Pop Rock – I would name it Layered Cake or Rainbow Ice Cream.

Once again, the place is unique and beautiful.

It takes 2.5 hours to reach the White Pocket from Kanab, Utah by Hummer (4WD).

And we need to walk under heat.

This is why I decided to take sleep.

After a great adventure, we departed Kanab, Utah for Las Vegas, Nevada.

Drove through the Zion National Park on the way to Vegas.

At Zion, we also enjoy looking at unique and beautiful rocks.

The Checkerboard Mesa.

A Birthday Cake?

West Temple and East Temple

The Arch.

And other beautiful rocks.

After enjoying the Mother Earth Nature, arrived CITY – Las Vegas.

Stayed at the Monte Carlo Hotel.

Dinner is buffet.

Hotel encourages to walk Casino to reach a restaurant.

Well, food is nice.

After dinner, went out for a quick walk because I spotted my Hard Rock Cafe!

The city doesn’t sleep; there are many people speaking different languages on the street at late night.
