Family Dinner @ Aux Six Arbres, Roppongi

I’ve been looking for a French restaurant that my Dad wants to dine.

I had difficulty to locate it because he gave me the wrong area to look for…tonight, we locate it and went to Aux Six Arbres.

I’ve dined here before so I knew this restaurant, but I didn’t think this is the restaurant that he was looking for because he gave me the wrong area.

He dined here 20 years ago.

He followed his superior at that time so he couldn’t remember the location.

Well, it’s sweet of Dad that he thought of taking us (Mom and I) here.

All of us enjoyed nice French.

Desserts, we could select from these.

These all look nice, how could I resist them?

Therefore, I asked for a small piece for all together with a cup of Espresso!

There are more…we all brought them back.

Restaurant is cozy and food is nice so we smiled through out the dinner.

I think this restaurant becomes our family restaurant tonight♪

Comical Movie Saturday

Today, I watched two movies at Toho Cinema Roppongi.

First, I watched Renegades.

For Japan market, this movie is titled: Navy Seals.

I thought this movie is a serious action movie, but this movie betrayed my expectation – comical with nice sceneries.

I dive so I can feel the excitement while watching.

I plan to return for Kingsman the Golden Circle later.

In the evening, returned to Toho Cinema Roppongi.

This is another comical movie.

Is this based on British comics?

I thought there are Japanese and American comics only, never thought there is British comics. hahaha

Yes, this movie is comical.

Dinner with Friends from LA

I miss her.

I don’t think I had sufficient time to catch up with her.

I took her to my favorite Yakiniku (Korean BBQ) restaurant in Roppongi, Yakiniku 433.

Perhaps, we were too busy eating…?

After eating various parts of beef, we went for desserts at Hoshino Coffee.

Yes, I announced my resolution yesterday – Losing Weight, but I think I can apply exception when I’m spending quality time with my friends from overseas.

She brought me goodies from Trader Joe’s: Cocoa Batons (Rolled Wafers with Rich Chocolate Cream), Green Tea Infused Mints and Indian Coconut Nectar Body Butter with Shea & Mango Butters.

I cannot wait to try them!

Trip to Nikko (Day 4)

It was snowing when I woke up.

It was nice to dip in open air bath in the morning before breakfast.

It’s time to go back home, Tokyo.

We had time till our train back to Tokyo, we stopped by Kissa (Cafe) Tsuruya for a coffee and oshiruko (red bean soup with mochi (pounded rice)).

Sayonara Kinugawa Onsen (Hot Spring) Station.

Snow stopped nearing to Tokyo.

Oh no, returned to Sky Tree where I started this trip.

Returned to Asakusa by Revaty.

It was peaceful and relaxing Year End and New Year holiday.

Bonenkai (Year-End Gathering) Day

Today, I had two Bonenkai.

I had a corporate Bonenkai (Year -End Gathering) at Malaysian Restaurant, Malay Asian Cuisine, Shibuya, Tokyo.

I enjoyed these Malaysian food: Satay, Nasi Lemak, ota ota (it’s fish surimi. After open banana leaf, there is a curry flavored fish surimi: picture on the right), Murtabak, pandan chiffon cake and Teh tarik.

At the evening, I enjoyed Italian at Il Ritrovo, Ropppongi Hills, Tokyo with my flower arrangement class mates (7 of us).

I was busy talking during Bonenkai; therefore, I forgot to take photos.

Nonetheless, the restaurant is famous for pizza, delicious and VERY cost effective.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, my friends!

Movie Sunday

I woke up early for Sunday to catch 9:00 am showing movie at Toho Cinema, Roppongi.

Star Wars started showing on 15 December 2017 in Japan.

I watched it on an Extra Large Screen with better audio, DOLBY ATMOS.

The movie is absolutely nice!

I cried through the movie and this is definitely a must movie.

Later in the afternoon, I watched Murder On The Orient Express.

I enjoyed it in different way, classic but thrilling.

It was an exciting day!

One can make me happy, but TWO!

Extremely, happy!

Foodie Report: Nihonbashi Yabukyu

I had a nice namakaki tempura zarusoba (oyster tempura cold sobs) tonight at Nihonbashi Yabukyu, Tokyo.

This soba shop opened in Japanese Era Meiji 35 years, 1902.

This restaurant is a member of Kibachi Kai.

Kibachi (wooden bowl) symbolizes the basic of soba.

Kibachi Kai aims to improve skills among members.

I found my favorite soba shop name, Azabu Jyuban Sarashina Horii, in a list.

If you are looking for a nice soba shop, we can refer to the website of Kobachi Kai at http://www.kibati-kai.net/01about/index.html.Unfortunately, it’s in Japanese only.I hope you would reach to a soba shop by Google Map…?

Completing My Dream Set

I updated my iPhone and Apple Watch; it’s time to update my earphone.

I mentioned before that I was disappointed that iPhone X doesn’t come with AirPods even though it’s written on the box.

Apple perhaps provides AirPods for overseas market; however, I believe Apple decided to provide a cable earphone for Japan because it’s not necessary to provide AirPods to attract users because iPhone occupies Japan market high as 70 percent.

Apple sells AirPods separately for USD 170 and connector for old earphone to new earphone jack/charger jack for USD 10.

Recently, I enjoy listening to music; therefore, I decided to update my earphone when I update iPhone.

I went to Yodobashi Akihabara, Tokyo today to check on totally wireless earphone such as Sony.

After trying few others, I decided to get Sony WF-1000X.

I am enjoying clear sounded music with its noise cancelling function.

I’m happy with this investment!

Horey!
