Spring has come!

It is a nice night to walk, just right in 20C.

Sakuras are fully bloomed; everywhere is nice in pink.

Walked down to Azabu Juban and had Kyoto Style Okonomiyaki at Yocchan.

Master Chef is mother of two business partners (sons).

I forgot to ask how their okonomiyaki (Japanese style pancakes) are in Kyoto Style.

Yes, this restaurant use Kyoto leeks – I love it!

Sauce looks so thick, but has less taste.

Pancake is thin…? How…?

I learned this week that we can enjoy the same dish in many different ways by region: Kyoto Style Tempura, Kyoto Style Okonomiyaki.

Interesting…

Sakura

It’s Sakura season in Tokyo.

Sakura is delicate so it cannot last for long.

Perhaps, a week or even less.

If rains, petals will fall.

We all look forward to viewing Sakura after   dark and cold winter.

We appreciate it so much because it’s so delicate, short-lived and beautiful.

We chase Sakura to get the best viewing.

We call viewing Sakura, hanami.

Short Trip to Osaka and Kyoto (Day 2)

I had a very interesting day.

We took a Trokko (mountain train) to enjoy Saga • Arashiyama Mountain View.

After this train ride, we will be on that boat to enjoy river cruise.

Next, Hozugawa Kudari (Hozu River Cruise).

A boat will cruise through a rocky and rapid stream.

We waved at Torokko (mountain train) – we were on that train earlier… and…

Normal JR Line, Sanin Line from a boat.

This 1 hour 45 mins journey is so scenic.

Most of trees are Sakura trees in this photo and there are many Sakura trees at river bank.

Wheather Agency already announced Kyoto is Sakura season; however, the recent sudden temperature drop delayed Sakura blooming greatly.

I could viewed Few Sakuras in Kyoto.

I thought we planned to visit Kyoto at the perfect timing, unfortunately, I missed it by a week.

At the end of the river cruise journey, we reached to another famous sightseeing spot, Togetsukyo (Togetsu Bridge).

We enjoyed Kyoto Lunch, Yudofu (Boiled Tofu) there.

After lunch, we returned to city by a train, Randen (Ranzan Line).

Now I’m on the way back to Tokyo by Shinkansen (Bullet Train).

I have visited Kyoto few times, but this is my first time to ride on Torokko, Hozugawa Kudari and Randen.

I tried many different rides in a day and visited a new area of Kyoto; this trip became so memorable for me.

Today’s Flower Arrangement

Today’s theme is Blue Star Sapphire Wedding Anniversary: the 65th Wedding Anniversary.

Wow, it’s so loving to celebrate the 65th Wedding Anniversary together – they have a big heart ❤️

I don’t have a blue star sapphire, but I wanted to include an element of it to my arrangement.

There aren’t many blue flowers; therefore, I prepared blue balloons.

These balloons are rounded like stones; I tried to write white lines to make them blue star sapphires, but it didn’t work.

Never mind, I still like my arrangement.

What’s Happened to a Steak?

When I woke up this morning, I wasn’t that hungry.

I decided to have a smoothie instead of a steak.

Oh, I’m adding lemon to get more vitamins!

I think it’s a good idea to add lemon!

When I have time, I cook lunch, bring it to the office and eat it at my desk.

After arranging flower…

At the class, I had some almonds, snacks and this good luck sweets, Hachifukumochi, from Hikawa Shrine.

Since this year is predicted bad for me, I’m glad that I can have one.

Thank you my friend to share good luck with me!

I had some snacks at the class; therefore, I have no choice, but to have smoothie for dinner.

What’s happened to that steak?

I cooked it for tomorrow’s lunch.

To be honest, I want to eat it now.

I’m hungry…

Tsubaki (Camellia) Oil

I’m about to finish it.

This is camellia oil which is Japanese almighty traditional beauty item for hair and skin.

Since it’s showing its presence for many years, I thought this product isn’t cool.

However, I was wrong.

My hair is thin so it tends to expand during winter because now I’m trying to keep my hair long (my hair itself is dry) and air is dry, especially during winter.

I couldn’t control my hair with hair lotion and wax.

I reached this sample bottle…it works.

Now I value the camellia oil differently – cool.

Temporary Amazon Freak

I’ve been looking for iPhone case (6S) at Apple Store, retailers, etc.

I used the same model twice so I wanted to change this time.

My friend recommended me Amazon.

Wow, there are many attractive models and inexpensive, too!

It’s dangerous, I just pochi (press) and shopping is done.

I bought

* 1 iPhone cable (50cm) in gold;

* 1 set of iPhone cables (4 cables) in pink;

* 1 iPhone 6S cover;

* 1 iPad Mini 4 cover;

* 4 Apple Watch bands; and

* 1 Power bank

I’m happy with my products.

Only one minor regret is a power bank is larger than I thought… hahaha

I wanted a powerful one (20,000 mAh, this can charge iPhone 7 times!) for traveling so it’s still okay.

I’m still waiting for a set of iPhone cables (4 cables) in pink and iPad Mini 4 case. hehehe

I was busy opening boxes and trying them out.

But I also find time to decorate my entrance; I arranged Green Christmas Wreath tonight.
