Self Spa

My friend gave me this nice eye mask, Megurizumu, last Thursday.

My eyes are tired from looking at PC, iPad and iPhone; time to relax.

I lay on the bed and opened a package.

This eye mask will heat to 40C once open the package.

I massaged my head with my own fingers while eye mask was heated for 10 mins.

I cannot write any more because I’m so sleepy.

Good night.

Lunch & Amazon

I have a lunch buddy now; she joined us last February.

We had Oyakodon, meaning family on rice.

After opening a cover….chicken and egg on rice.

Now you know what I mean: FAMILY ON RICE.

Dessert and coffee are inclusive in a lunch set at Gono Igarashi-Tei, Ginza.

Dessert is wrapped in real sasa leaf.

It’s only a bite, but nice to have a dessert.

I look forward to explore lunch with her.

By the way, my birthday is on 3 March.

I used to be in charge for a project around this time so I didn’t have time to celebrate my birthday for over a decade.

I asked my boss to change an officer this year and he accepted it.

I don’t have to worry about phone calls and messages on weekends.

That’s great.

I hurt my knees because I fell from stairs while I was busy answering messages to participants.

But this year, I’m free from it!!!

We plan to go for Birthday Diving to celebrate my Birthday in Izu, Shizuoka.

I took a safety precaution to purchase knee supporters.

I don’t know which one to buy; I bought the best seller product on Amazon.

I cannot wait.

I will celebrate 10 times more.

At the same time, yes, I’ll be careful.

Magma Spa

I was tired from work.

I don’t have time to even talk to someone.

I stare at the screen and compile inputs after inputs.

I’m even doing other office mate’s job because he doesn’t admit his mistake so my boss asked me to do it.

I get tired of telling people who are based on different value.

I advise but they don’t listen.

I used to get upset because I sincerely shared thoughts and methods.

But I stopped; they don’t appreciate.

They won’t do it anyway; therefore, no point for both of us to get upset.

It’s not healthy.

I need to recharge myself.

I decided to go magma spa (stone spa) to sweat.

My body must have been cold.

Surprisingly, I could lie on my stomach for 20 mins.

I thought that’s long.

After that it seems my body warmed up; I could not stay longer so I took a break at cooling off room often.

Yes, I feel better now.

Bad feeling came out from me in the form of sweat.

Detoxing for body and soul.

Practical and great!

Sudden Swelling

I don’t know what happened to me over night.

I woke up and found myself swollen.

My face is so rounded, making a HQ officer to gesture I blow up.

This could be a sexual harassment, but I just laughed.

I myself couldn’t believe what happened to my body.

Last night, I slept as usual, but I feel surprisingly over tired today.

Hummm

I was told that it could cause by unstable weather, frequently changing atmospheric pressure…?

Unfortunately, I don’t have a fun news to report.

I want to attend the seminar tomorrow so I had to clear my work; I continue working at home.

It’s 2 am now….I hope I’ll be okay tomorrow.

Confession

I try to eat healthy, but I eat snacks, junk food and alcohol sometimes.

How many times did I say to myself, this is it!

It’s so difficult to lose 1 kg, but I can easily put 2-3 kg on.

I think I need to look for a new hobby to stop eating.

I want to welcome Spring in good shape.

Any suggestion?

Clinic Hopping

I had a dentist appointment today.

This new dentist is good.

He explained to me how important to floss and come for regular cleaning by showing my current condition of teeth.

Scary…

I also went to dermatology at late evening.

The other day I went to dermatology in the afternoon, hoping to return home early; but I waited longer hours because there are many more patients: seniors and children.

I am right, I waited shorter today!

Greedy Night: Hiroshima-yaki Dinner and Massage

I had Hiroshima-yaki at Sanshou, Ginza for dinner.

Sanshou is located at the second floor of Hiroshima TAU: an antenna shop where we can buy Hiroshima local specialties.

Hiroshima-yaki is originated from Hiroshima, similar to Okonomiyaki (Osaka Culture), but it’s with noodle.

I had deluxe Hiroshima-yaki with oyster, squid, shrimp and pork.

A restaurant is simple, but food is delicious♪

My back was so stiff; Googled for massage and went to Roppongi Yuren.

Surprisingly, many Japanese celebrities visited this massage shop; these are their autographs.

The place is small, but clean and homey; customers kept on coming in.

I enjoyed 100 mins body and foot massage.

My massager is good; my body is light now.

Thank you, Mo-san!

My Favorite Drinks: Smoothie and Wine

I’ve been enjoying a cup of smoothie every morning since I bought a smoothie maker, Tescom TMV 1100.

Today, I went to buy a lunch box. (Yes, I was lazy making lunch today….).

I found a nice lunch box, but I thought I should take more veggies.

I bought smoothies which were on promotion – discount.

I tried a green smoothie, but surprisingly it’s sweet.

I opened it to check its greeness.

Hummm, my green smoothie is much more delicious.

Now I enjoy making my own recipe smoothie.

Today’s Recipe:  Contrex water (200 ml), orange (60g), spinach (40g), apple (60g) and carrot (30g)

For dinner, I enjoyed another favorite drink: few glasses of wine.

Wine is also good, right?

Polyphenol!

Yes, I should be careful, not to over drink.

Well, this one is special……

Corton Clos Du Roi Grand Cru 2010 (Beaune, France)

Wine is so delicate….yet, enhancing food….

It’s not cheap (USD 125), but worth trying it once.

Dos and Don’ts

I went to see a physical therapist today.

About two weeks ago, he fixed my knees.

It was incredible because my knees giving me troubles since March 2016; but he fixed it in 1.5 hr.

But today, I needed to make an appointment again.

I asked what I have done wrong in two weeks.

After his treatment, I felt good so I went to gym to work out my upper body, then I damaged my knees even though I only worked out UPPER BODY!

I couldn’t believe my knees are so fragile.

I switched my exercise going to the pool; but damaged my skin because of chlorine.

I explained all my thoughts and doubts to him to determine “dos and don’ts”.

Japanese are polite; to get his opinions, I needed to fish.

First I asked him, “should I stop working out upper body at the gym?”

“It’s okay. It’s good to work out upper body, but don’t use your legs”.

“Are you sure? I damaged my knees last time. I know I will disappoint my trainer, but I think I should stop going.”

“Ummm you might want to take a break until your knees get stronger”.

He should have told me that when I asked  him last session so that I won’t exercise at the gym to damage my knees so soon!

I used the same method, “I think I should stop going to my body work because he might push different points even you two have the same concept: straighten the body”.

“Yeah yeah”

I asked all sorts of questions:

Q. what kind of exercise I should do to replace swimming.

A. He taught me where to massage while taking a bath and light exercise using a chair (I can also do it in a bathtub).

2. is there any way to fix my jaw’s joints problem.

Q. He taught me where to pressure. According to him, it will make my face smaller and lift up my face! That’s awesome!

3. Teach me correct way of walking.

A. He demonstrated it and I practiced on the tread mill till I get it’s feeling.

Fuuuuu. I know I need to make decisions, but he could just tell me do’s and don’ts to save my time and money.

Oh well, now I know them, let’s do it!

When I finished the session, I asked him when to make a next appointment; but he told me to call him when I need the session.

I told him, “now I know dos and don’ts, I hope I don’t need to call you for long. Don’t get me wrong, I DID enjoy talking to you. I just hope that I don’t need to see you so soon”.

He laughed.
