Walk in the Town

Today, I decided to walk back from Toranomon.

It was a short journey of 2.3 km only, but again it was fun.

I walked by Kasumigaseki, Japan’s administrative district where ministries are located.

There are many surprises because there are few shops and restaurants closed for urban development; on the other hand, new buildings are opened.

I shopped grocery at Motomachi Union.

And I bought a treat for walking 2.3 km.

I like this Meiji the Chocolate.

This is Framboise flavour.

Look at the shape of chocolate.

Shapes are different by parts to taste it differently.

Some how the way it touches the tongue gives different texture.

I cannot diffrenciate the delicate taste, but I simply like this series of chocolate.

Starting a Day Not Healthy, but Making it a Healthy Day

I had Castella or Kasuteta (Japanese cake) for breakfast.

This is simply made of flour, eggs and sugar.

This dessert was brought to Japan by a Portuguese missionary in 16th century.

We call it Castella, but there isn’t any dessert like this in Spain; we don’t know the origin of this dessert.

Today, we eat pancakes and waffles for breakfast so I can eat this dessert which is made of flour, eggs and sugar for breakfast, right?

I’m getting board doing the same routine everyday: go to office and return home.

It was a nice day to walk in a light breeze.

I walked from Shonagawa to home.

It was 4.5 km journey and fun.

There are a quite numbers of shrines and temples standing between buildings.

There is a Japanese traditional archery shop next to a temple, selling Japanese traditional archeries in Tokyo!

There are many interesting shops and restaurants on the way home.

I stopped by at a supermarket, Lincos.

It was a small adventure.

Trip to Sipadan (Day 5)

Last day to dive…I’m lucky, I am going to dive at Sipadan again!

When we dive at Sipadan, we leave the pier at 5:30 am to catch early risers, bump fish.

It’s still dark.

I’m not good at waking up early, but for diving, I can wake up. hahaha

It was worth waking up early.

I swam with many Bump Fish!

There are many sharks!

A stream of horse mackerels.

My friend took a photo of me dive into bourse makerels.

Wahhhh her photo is so sharp!

Shall I consider getting a proper camera…?

We were looking for a barracuda.

We swam and swam looking for baraccudas at Barracuda Point, twice.

At last dive (4th dive), we decided to enjoy diving with beautiful coral scenery.

But we are lucky!!!

There are baraccudas…

I got closer to them, then they started making a Barracuda Tornado!!!

Breath taking.

I’m so so lucky!

First Sipadan Trip, I witnessed a Barracuda Tornado!!!

I appreciate whatever I see there.

This is a long living shell.

It grew too large unabling to close now.

I watched so many things: various tropical fish, sea slugs, turtles, sharks, Bump Fish, hourse mackerels…and…Baraccuda Tornado!

I had so much fun diving here!

Trip to Sipadan (Day 3)

Today, we are going to dive at SIPADAN!

I was nervous.

So many what if crossed my mind.

But soon I know I’m going to have good time here.

Many wild dolphins greeted me!!

And this is SIPADAN!

We rest between dives at station in Sipadan.

Under water, I met a family of bump fish.

They have scars on their heads because they fight and bump their heads to each other.

Wahhhh there are many horse mackerels – so beautiful!

They are always in group.

They look yammy!

Sharks – handsome!

Cute turtle

I’ve been seen him, but don’t know his name.

What’s his name…?

I want to buy a fish illustrated book to check its name.

Dolphins surely brought me good luck.

I managed to catch a school of barracuda!

Yeahhhhhhhhh

We departed Kapalai at 5:30 am for Sipadan.

We dived at four points: Coral Garden, Barracuda Point, South Point and Barracuda Point.

After dinner, I went to bed early. Zzzzzzz

hahahaha

Saving Paper

I stopped buying magazines.

But it doesn’t mean I lost interest in beauty, health and fashion.

I try to read them at the gym while I exercise.

In this case, I can save money, paper and space in my room, but able to obtain information♪

And finally my gym installed WiFi!

Gym is located in B1 (basement); therefore, 4G is out of reach.

I’m happy with a news.

I quickly registered password.

If we could use WiFi there, we can have more fun!

Mindfulness

Nowadays I can easily find the word, mindfulness, on Japanese women’s magazines.

There are many magazines at my beauty salon and I read about it briefly the other day.

Today, I was standing in a train on the way to my dermatologist.

I needed to hold a rail because a train was packed.

Since I was holding a rail, I cannot play with my mobile.

I looked outside, but I couldn’t see anything because windows were all fogged up due to a cold rain.

I remembered MINDFULNESS.

I didn’t close my eyes, but my surrounding created a perfect situation to listen to my feeling.

I have frustration.

While waiting for my turn at the dermatologist, I browsed on internet to learn more about MINDFULNESS.
Now it’s time to listen to my feelings to love myself more.

Perhaps, I can practice while I’m taking a bath because I sit in a bathtub for 10 – 15 mins in nice aroma and I’m relaxed.

Birthday Sunday

Woke up early for diving.

Enjoyed typical Japanese breakfast, dried fish is local speciality.

Thank you Minshuku Otsuka, we might come back again.

Took a ferry to reach Hatsushima.

Today, we could see a great view of Mt. Fuji from a diving shop: Sea Front Hatsushima.

After diving at Futatsune, we took a bath, ocean water hot spring at Hatsushima Island Resort.

Nice salty hot spring bath.

I found Iseebi (Japanese Lobster, local specialty) designed manhole.

Cute, isn’t it?

Time to go back…

Sayonara Atami, Shizuoka!

I was caught in a traffic jam, but safely arrived home.

I had a craving for Kohien’s torisoba (chicken noodle).

I tkink I celebrated my birthday 10 times better to compensate my lost birthday celebration.

I’m happy!

By the way, curry is a hidden menu of Kohien.

It’s not listed on a menu, but it’s their popular dish!

Hatsushima, then Usami Onsen (Hot Spring)

I came to Hatsushima for diving.

It’s about two hours away from Tokyo by car.

We dived at Futatsune.

It’s cold today (15C in water), but it was fun.

I saw a Japanese angel shark twice; both of them are female.

She is flat and got many freckles.

I also saw a Hatsushima’s idol, Jaw Fish.

He is cute in pink!

Then I saw a group of kibomago (silver-stripe round herring).

It was nice.

I haven’t started taking photos so you need to find out how these looks by yourself…Sorry…

This was my lunch at Hatsushima.

Hatsushima is a small island.

It is my first trip to Hatsushima and I like it!

I would like to visit again.

Tonight, staying at minshuku (Japanese casual inn) Otsuka, Usami Onsen.

It’s nice and cozy.

It has a nice ocean view from a room.

But be careful; their bath is hot.

After dipping to their onsen (hot spring).

I enjoyed delicious food; I had fugu (blow fish) course dinner.

It’s worth visiting from Tokyo.

There are many dishes; these are some of close up photos that I enjoyed very much.

It’s still 9 o’clock, but ready to sleep on futon.

Good night.

I’m sure I won’t dream tonight. hahaha

Dos and Don’ts

I went to see a physical therapist today.

About two weeks ago, he fixed my knees.

It was incredible because my knees giving me troubles since March 2016; but he fixed it in 1.5 hr.

But today, I needed to make an appointment again.

I asked what I have done wrong in two weeks.

After his treatment, I felt good so I went to gym to work out my upper body, then I damaged my knees even though I only worked out UPPER BODY!

I couldn’t believe my knees are so fragile.

I switched my exercise going to the pool; but damaged my skin because of chlorine.

I explained all my thoughts and doubts to him to determine “dos and don’ts”.

Japanese are polite; to get his opinions, I needed to fish.

First I asked him, “should I stop working out upper body at the gym?”

“It’s okay. It’s good to work out upper body, but don’t use your legs”.

“Are you sure? I damaged my knees last time. I know I will disappoint my trainer, but I think I should stop going.”

“Ummm you might want to take a break until your knees get stronger”.

He should have told me that when I asked  him last session so that I won’t exercise at the gym to damage my knees so soon!

I used the same method, “I think I should stop going to my body work because he might push different points even you two have the same concept: straighten the body”.

“Yeah yeah”

I asked all sorts of questions:

Q. what kind of exercise I should do to replace swimming.

A. He taught me where to massage while taking a bath and light exercise using a chair (I can also do it in a bathtub).

2. is there any way to fix my jaw’s joints problem.

Q. He taught me where to pressure. According to him, it will make my face smaller and lift up my face! That’s awesome!

3. Teach me correct way of walking.

A. He demonstrated it and I practiced on the tread mill till I get it’s feeling.

Fuuuuu. I know I need to make decisions, but he could just tell me do’s and don’ts to save my time and money.

Oh well, now I know them, let’s do it!

When I finished the session, I asked him when to make a next appointment; but he told me to call him when I need the session.

I told him, “now I know dos and don’ts, I hope I don’t need to call you for long. Don’t get me wrong, I DID enjoy talking to you. I just hope that I don’t need to see you so soon”.

He laughed.
